Dhikr For All Times

Remembering Allah is one of the best things we can do as Muslims. Some types of dhikr are for specific times and situations, while others can be done anytime and as much as we want. These include reading the Qur’an, saying phrases like Lā ilāha illā Allāh (tahlīl), SubḥānAllāh (tasbīḥ), Alḥamdulillāh (taḥmīd), Allāhu Akbar (takbīr), Lā ḥawla wa lā quwwata illā billāh (ḥawqalah), and mentioning the beautiful Names of Allah. Dhikr is one of the greatest acts of worship. When we remember Allah, He remembers us. It brings peace and comfort to our hearts. Dhikr also protects us from shayṭān, from harm, and from Allah’s punishment. Most importantly, through dhikr we come closer to Allah, learn about Him, and grow in love for Him.
