Lohe Qurani
Loh-e-Qurani (لوحِ قرآنی) is a term commonly used for the combination of mysterious letters (Huruf-e-Muqatta’at) that appear at the beginning of certain Surahs in the Holy Qur’an. These letters are recited separately (not as words) and are considered among the great secrets of Allah (SWT).
What is Loh-e-Qurani?
- These are 14 unique letters from the Arabic alphabet: ا، ل، م، ص، ر، ك، هـ، ي، ع، ط، س، ح، ق، ن
- They appear in 29 Surahs of the Qur’an.
- Examples: الم (Alif Laam Meem), يس (Yaseen), طه (Taa Haa), حم (Haa Meem).
Virtues and Beliefs
- True meaning is known only to Allah (SWT).
- Reciting them brings barakah (blessings).
- Many people write Loh-e-Qurani on decorative plaques for homes, but the real benefit is in reciting Qur’an with understanding and following its guidance.
